Blog E. Blog

How do I learn to go and make my blog template different? Although I love mine (thanks Javamama!) I feel like trying something new.*

Anyone wanna help? Or at least point me in the right direction?

*Sad thing is, I could study the stupid crap for 5 days and the hubs can come along and in 2 minutes, have learned more than I ever could. Yeah for him.

I’d be happy to give you a hand. Or point you in the right direction. Or both. I learned a lot of what I know from www.lissaexplains.com it breaks everything down very simple. I also surf the MT forums a lot. If you just want to put in a premade template, you might try www.blogfrocks.com. Happy redecorating!

I’d love to do it for you but I don’t know when I’d be able to get to it! Maybe this weekend? I can imagine that you are getting tired of it since it’ been up since I moved you in. If you can email me and give me some ideas you might have I will start working on something for you. Maybe send me a couple of images or something.

I kind of like your template the way it is. It’s original-looking, which I can’t say for most Moveable Type sites (not doggin’ it, just saying that the software looks pretty good as-installed, and most people only change it a little).

Another decent site for pre-made templates is blogskins.com…you can tweak them as much as you want, but there are some pretty good starting points. It’s where I’ve gotten my past two skins.
