Vote or use a pink toothbrush!

My poor husband must think that it is my job to torture him.

Besides buying him a pink toothbrush because “it is funny,” I tend to do many things that would annoy the average person. Sometimes, especially before I started on the meds, I’d call him up at work.

But instead of saying “Hi, honey, I’m wearing nothing but a smile,” I put the phone up to the baby and let her cry for him.

Last night I did another typical SJ thing. I was laying on the couch, watching South Park, when I realized how funny the show was. It was about voting and the kids had to choose a mascot and the choices were A Giant Douchebag and A Turd Sandwich.

You must choose between a douche and a turd!

And then P Diddy came on and said “Vote or Die” and he had a vote or die video that said “Shake yo titties when you vote, bitch.”

And I knew, just knew that he needed to be told about this. So I walked into the room and poked him and said “You’re missing a funny South Park. It’s about a Douche and a Turd!”

And guess what happened? He couldn’t fall back asleep! Probably because he was thinking about Douches and Turds and how funny they would be to vote for. So he comes and watches it with me and there is no more Puffy “Vote or Die” video, which is very sad.

And last night, while he was packing, what did I do? I searched Craigslist for that big black weenie (I mean, pork tenderloin) for you to look at.

I think he is really going to like it when he finds out I’ve unpacked all of the baby’s clothes bags to find the cute blue hat. It’s cold in New Mexico! She needs a hat!

And I think he’ll really like it when he finds out that she peed all over the sheets and comforter on one side of our bed. The biggest one yet! And guess what? It wasn’t MY side!

I LOVE South Park. My favorite is the one where Cartman decides to join the special olympics!

Ha! I do annoying things because they’re funny too. My husband is very patient. But I always remind him that his life would be much less interesting if I weren’t there. He usually agrees.

Your husband’s going to be dipping into your prescription any minute now.

South Park was funny last night. And I noticed that they re-aired the one with Christopher Reeve and fetuses, I think last week. I think it’s odd that Matt and Trey have conservative views, but the show is watched by the younger, more liberal viewers.

I think the genius of South Park is that it makes fun of both political sides at the same time, allowing viewers to interpret it as reinforcing their own opinions and claim it for their own. When I watch it, I interpret it as making fun of conservatives, but there are, it seems, at least some people who call themselves “South Park Republicans” because they view Cartman as representing the conservative point of view in a positive light.
