Don’t miss out!

Monday! Monday! Monday!

Come one, come all, come see the “No Nap Extravaganza!” brought to you in surround sound thanks to your friends at No-Doz!

In one corner, we have Ellie “No Sleep” Journalist, coming in at a whopping 25 pounds and 32 inches tall.

In the other corner, we have The Sarcastic Journalist, coming in at a weight she’s not disclosing and 5′5 tall.

Come and see the match to end all matches, folks. Ellie “No Sleep” Journalist has 17 months of nap-avoiding down and she’s not giving up until she’s had an hour of Teletubbies. The Sarcastic Journalist, on the other hand, is tired, pregnant and really just wants to eat cookies.

Will Ellie ever take a nap? Will SJ ever get her child to look decent so they can go see Santa? Can SJ hold out for seven more weeks without becoming a closet alcoholic? And really, doesn’t Little Jizzy want a margarita? We’re all sure he’s sick of his sister’s screaming as well.

This is a fight for the books! Don’t delay in booking your tickets and don’t forget to stay for round two when both Little Jizzy AND Ellie take turns beating the crap out of their mother. One on the inside, one on the outside.

What better odds do you need?

Two tickets please. Front row. My money is on Ellie. One punch KO, first round.

Ellie, if you really want the advantage try to keep your mom from cutting your fingernails and then you can scratch the #$&@ out of her face as well. That’s what I do! ;)

Sorry, SJ. My bets are on Ellie too. I have had a child on nap-strike before. I wasn’t even pregnant and he kicked my arse and took names. My sympathies are with you though. Strap her down to the couch to watch teletubbies and go to your room and dine on those cookies! You deserve them! HA!

I’m doing “Santa- take two” tomorrow night at another Mall far from my house, since my Son’s mug shot has probably been posted at my local mall disclosing, “Don’t let this boy near Santa, he kicks”. Good luck!

Here’s my thought. If you go the traditional hospital birthing route you get two whole days of people filling your water and bringing you tylenol. Practically a vacation! Now why did a post on no nap Ellie make me think about that???

My advice - put her in the car seat and hit bring a bag of cookies with you. Drive AS LONG AS YOU HAVE TO.

    I’m rooting for the underdog

My kids finally took a nap for the first time in months! Months I tell ya.
independance in kids is highly overrated.

Oh God. I’m frightened. I hope for your sake the underdog won — without too many bruises, inside or outside.
