J to the Hizzo

So today, after breakfast and lunches, we went to the doctor for the first of approx. 1, 487 ultrasounds. This ultrasound is what one might call the “Important” one because um, it had something to do with gender.

Basically, after driving for a long time, we reach the doctor’s office, Miss E in tow. Even though I wasn’t just dying to know this time as I was with the last, I was curious. It was one of those moments that you know will change things. Like, once I know the answer to the question “What is it?” there will be no more guessing.

I do not have the ultrasound pictures scanned yet, so you’ll just have to trust me when I say:

Yup. A boy. We’re having a boy. Little Jizzy is “officially” a “he.”

SJ, you have got to check these out:

All of the other moms in my mother’s group have sons – and they find these both useful and hilarious. It makes me want a boy just so I can have them. At the very least, I think this site will crack you up.

  33. Woohoo! And the VERY BEST PART of the close-in-age, older-sis-younger-bro pairing? There are so many future blackmail pics to be had when his favorite big sister dresses him up. I have countless shots of Monkey in plastic high-heels, clad in sequins and spandex. Fancy!

(P.S. I knew what I was having with both my kids. I believe in Mama Intuition. High 5 for knowing.) ;)

  36. You knew it!

I’ve always thought the best possible sibling combonations are an older sister and a younger brother. Wherever I’ve seen that combination the kids are closer, then if it’s two of the same gender or the boy is older.

  57. Mir, I thought the greatest part about having a little brother close in age (my brother and I are the same as Ellie & Little Jizzy will be) was beating the shit out of the baby brother?

    Oh, it’s not? ;)

    Comment by Stacey — 9/20/2005 @ 9:30 am

  58. Delurking to say congratulations to you and yours. I have two girls and a boy, and I’m finding out that boys really are very different from girls, even early on. But they are all unique and wonderful, in their own ways.
