Mama Mia!

As I mentioned in an earlier post, my Mother has found my blog. (Hi Mom. Stop reading this now.) As we all know, I do not want my Mother to read my blog. In fact, if I know you in real life, unless I have given you the domain name myself, just assume that I do not want you to read this. (Mom. Stop. No more.)

But my Mom? She thinks I’m funny. She KNOWS that I don’t want her to read this, but she continues to do so. In fact, she mentions it in our phone conversations. “Oh, I was reading your site and you had that picture of Ellie…or that picture you drew of your boob was funny.”

I tried to block her IP. I keep saying “No. Bad Mom.” I should rub her nose in some poo. Every time she mentions my site, I scream “Stop reading it!”

But she continues. The women is relentless. I’m about to start posting pictures of her and telling stories that would embarrass her. Maybe I’ll post pictures of her and put her name on the blog so if anyone ever googles her, they’ll know that her daughter is a foul-mouthed blogger.

So, people. Let’s all tell my Mom why she shouldn’t read my blog. Obviously, she doesn’t listen to me even though I LET HER BE THE FIRST PERSON WHO SAW MY CHILD AFTER SHE WAS BORN.

And, let’s try to keep it somewhat clean with the sexual innuendos. It is my MOM, after all.

I sure wouldn’t want my mother reading about my obsession with pus and my boobs ;) on the flip side, on some level I’m sure your mother really just wants to know you more intimately and figures this is a good way to do it. you are pretty open when you don’t think your family and friends are reading :) Hell, I just gave my mother my blog url because even though i love her, I can’t stand to hold a conversation with her most days :)

Watch out she is gathering ammunition to give Ellie in a few years!

well, it might put an end to those endless holiday get-togethers if you let her kkep reading for a while. (that would be an upside in my case!)

My mom probably reads your blog, too. What’s the harm in it? If you tell it all to Anonymous Blogland, might as well let momma in on the fun. My blog is mom friendly most of the time, but yesterday I wrote an entry about my weiner.

My mother would have a stroke and die right on the spot. I’m a single mom and it’s full of gory sex stories and freak internet dating.

It’s why I have a password. My sister found my site and didn’t like that I dissed her and her W voting mini-van ways (she’s a former Greenpeacer/Nadar voter, what can I say?)

Hey, I’m a W kind of gal and a mini-van driving mama, absolutely nothing wrong with that! :)

And, I would die if my mom read my blog. I actually sent the URL to my parents, but they’re not sophisticated enough to know how to do it or even understand what a blog is. I feel for you though. My father-in-law reads mine and it sort of creeps me out to know it because I talk about sex and guys I’d do, etc. But, if your mom isn’t fussing at you for doing it and she thinks you’re funny, just don’t think about it. She probably is more like you than you realize. :)

Now, when I started my site it was very G rated as far as my attitude was concerned. I knew certain people were reading my site so I really wasn’t myself. Recently I’ve said the hell with that. If you read my site you are also taking a chance at getting offended or getting your feelings hurt. If you think I am mad at you, just go to my site and you’ll find out. But, going from a Mom free zone to a Mom reading zone is restricting. So, Mom of S.J….don’t read her site. Your feelings will get hurt, you will be offended and your daughter won’t be able to vent anywhere but only bottle it up and burst at a family wedding. Just know that she loves you and would never say anything to horrible about you and leave it at that.

I dont’ think I would have an issue with my mom reading mine. Then again, I never posted a pic of my boobs. :)

A couple of days ago I was sitting at my mom’s house and one of her friends said, “I just love reading your site!” and continued on about something I’d written. I was like okay whatever. Kind of freaked me out, but I still don’t think my mother knows anything about it. Of course, I don’t talk about sex, boobs, or anything like that. It’s pretty much rated PG. Occasionally the language may go to PG-13. It’s still weird that people that I actually see almost daily read my site. Almost makes me want to change URLs or something, but I just renewed so it’ll have to wait another year. heh

    My mom reads mine too.
More scary than her reading it…is the fear that she might get her own and GOD ONLY KNOWS what she’ll say about me!
