Don’t go towards the light, Carol Anne!

Okay as I’ve said before, I like to watch the TV show “Sit and Be Fit” on PBS. Its basically exercise for old people…hence the name.

At the end, they have a relaxation part, which is the reason I like to watch, and today the lady said “You see a very bright light. Let the light come to you and surround you…”

Is it me, or should you not be telling large groups of the elderly to “Go towards the light?”

  1. I grew up watching “sit and be fit” while anxiously waiting for Sesame Street to start. (My mom was a bit new-age even for her time - we were ONLY allowed to watch PBS, so it’s not like I could’ve turned on cartoons instead).

Can’t believe they’re still running that show. That lady must be like 80 years old by now!

  3. *snicker*. Yeah, not a good idea to tell the old folks to head towards the light. Unless you need a fire drill for dying. So you’re prepared, ya know?

  4. it reminds me of my husband’s answer to all the world’s problems: either let the unemployed eat the elderly or the other way around.
